Captured Style: Vivian Mivu

One thing we love about style is how it helps us connect with other people. On more than one occasion, a simple conversation started by complimenting an outfit or piece of clothing has sparked friendships that wouldn’t have existed otherwise. Surprisingly also, the clothes people wear could tell a lot about them and could either draw you in or tell you to keep some distance.

It is that warm fuzzy welcoming feeling which only good style commands that led us down this path of connecting with people whose style capture our attention.

For this first style issue, we linked up with Vivian Mivu, a student who just wears what feels alright or looks good in her closet. She describes her style as “Casual Chic”, and says that the foundation of her style is built on variety.

Some folks believe I have a bizarre sense of style but I always frown and disagree; one day I’m all short shorts with a fringe bag and the next day, I’m striding down the walkway, bright lips, big hair, feeling like the poster girl for black girls in colored jeans.
