Following a refreshing serve of cocktails to a sea of guests in stunning outfits and every hair do from punk to flowing weaves, natural fros to low cuts graced by chiseled faces, the most anticipated modeling competition in Nigeria took off at about 8:30pm (African time) at the expo hall, Eko Hotel and suites Lagos with a  brilliant opening act by contemporary dancer Poalo Bassy gliding to a cover of Rihanna’s ‘stay’, the models striking distinctive poses in dresses from ‘poosh store’.

All settled in, the front rows packed with stylish guests, most sitting cross legged with an air of modern elegance, flashing the latest shoe trends like parallel patterned embellishments to a beautiful dress.

Even without the unexpected dessert as the past  2012 EMLN winner stumbled multiple times while taking her walk,  the energy put in by each model as the competition took off, strutting fiercely in designer pieces such as Ella and Gabby, Andrea Iyamah, William Tempest, AD by Agbani Darego and Kinabuti  plus  the response from the crowd as their favorites took turns down the runway,  it was agreeably an eventful night.
